Soldiers Delight – East Side Trails

Well, I've been running further afield for hiking recnetly; figured it was time to host something a little closer in. The Hike: This hike is an easy hike just under 3 miles. We will hike the Red, Orange and Yellow Trails (Choate Mine-Red Run-Dolfield Trails) on the EAST side of the park As long as Fido is leashed/well behaved, yes, this hike is pet friendly!

Directions: From I-695 take I-795N via exit 19 toward Owings Mills/Reisterstown. Take exit 7B on Franklin Blvd. west. Turn right on Church Road, left on Berrysman Lane, then left on Deer Park Road.
We'll meet in the parking area outside the visitors' center
. Look for a) a silver/grey Mazda6 with yak racks, and b) pair of overexcited dogs. My best guess is that the address here is 5200 Deer Park Road. A bit of warning: I do not know the current conditions,as I've not been back to Soldier's delight since last November, but as a general rule: expect portions of the trail to be wet/muddy....plan accordigly. Lunch after is alwways an option.

Meetup has allowed me to meet people I wouldn't have met naturally - they're totally different than me.
