Chris is likely doing a hike in the morning. So this event should be late enough for you really hard core hikers to get in two great hikes in one day. Or come to the cookout after, but only if you have hiked with Chris that morning. :o) I set the location as the Jerusalem Mill parking lot but we will NOT be meeting there. I'll email the address a few days before but it is about 1 mile from that parking lot.

We'll meet up early at my house and drop off the potluck goodies. No need to carry a crock pot of hot chili for the hike. Well, unless you want the extra challenge. The hike will be along the south white trail and will be about 6 miles. The trail has some rocky and root areas. I'd call it a moderate difficulty trail.

After the hike we will enjoy the potluck goodies while overlooking a quiet spot in the river. Once the sun goes down we'll get the old fire pit lit up.

Post what you're bringing please so we don't end up with 50 bags of Doritos. I'll provide a grill for any meat that needs to be cooked.

We will step off at 3:30. If you are late, txt me at[masked]-5327.

This is a rain or shine event. I have showers available for anybody that wants to clean up after the hike. And for those who attended the last one of these - I have hot water this time. LoL

Dogs are welcome but they must be well behaved and remain on lead for the hike. They can run around the fenced yard after the hike though.

Note this is cross posted in the Hiking Around Baltimore and 20s & 30s Hiking Around Maryland meetup groups. No need to RSVP in multiple meetup groups if you belong to others.

Oh, and I'd appreciate any cleanup help at the end. :)

Thanks everyone that came out. Great time! I'll do these every few weeks this summer. Hope to see you back again. Next time I'll have to get the grill started earlier. :-)

Hey Wayne, I have a shin splint and won't be able to hike but I will be there with brownies and a friend. So to make up for all of this I will also bring several pounds of grass fed beef to make hamburgers. I can also bring a large bottle of ketchup and we'll bring a bottle of red wine.

I'm sorry, but I have to cancel at the last minute, as a family obligation has just come up. That means you are minus brownies/pie. Sorry! Have fun!

Hi Everyone - we have a waitlist now. If you cannot attend, please update your RSVP.
Also, I'll be posting a list of food commitments tomorrow. So please try to fill in the missing areas once that list comes out.
    And please try to carpool.
    Should be fun.
Weather should be great! Low 70s during the day. Low 60's at night.

We have about 40 people total coming. If anybody can carpool please do. I can fit that many cars in the side yard but I'd prefer to not be playing valet all evening. Also, there is a chain link fence across the street. Please try to park there too then walk up the drive.

DERP! six miles in about 2.5 to 3 HOURS! Hey, if you can make the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs you should be fine on this hike!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
