I'm new to this group. Does anyone know if I can bring my dog along on the hikes??

Dogs are allowed on any hike where there aren't any restrictions (like with State Parks). Any hike along the Appalachian Trail or outside the State Park system is dog-friendly. I'll try to let everyone know what type of hike it'll be...

Yes, please let us know whether dogs are welcome. Mine likes to hike more than I do. :-)

I also like to hike with my favoite furry friend - Cooper. He's small, but don't let this fancy pants fools you- he's a real trooper.

I'd love to be able to bring my dog. She is a 10 lb. mini dachshund with abnormally long legs :) but so far hiking has been no problem. I have done about 4 miles with her and she doesn't appear tired.
