What a great trip Shannon. It was good to make new friends and see old friends as well. The Sonoma coast was lovely.

thank you Shannon, great camping with the group. and scrambling on the rocks rocked! btw; seals sleep just below the surface of water preferably in groups (presumably to stay warm) and come up for air without waking

Great fun! Climbing around on the rocks is a playground for adults - well some. Ah, the beautiful Sonoma coastline.

Finding a camping carpool buddy is the hardest part Maricela, especially for new folks. This is the best place to look. Good luck! I hope you come even if you can't find someone!

ANIMALS, including cats, can not be turned loose in park units. All animals, other than grazing animals, must be under immediate physical control. Dogs must be on a tended leash no more than 6 feet or confined in an enclosed vehicle, tent or pen. Unless posted to the contrary, dogs, other than those that assist the permanently disabled, are prohibited on trails, beaches, and wherever posted. Visitors with vicious, dangerous, noisy, or disturbing animals will be ejected from park units.

    Hi all,

I'm driving up from Hollister (near Gilroy) & would love to join a carpool. Anyone in SJ, East Bay, SF or North Bay have room?

Also, does anyone know if there will be hot water for coffee/tea & quick meals like instant oatmeal? Just trying to get my meals & shopping sorted out :-)

    I'm a first-timer with this group & I can't wait to meet you guys!

My roommate and I can bring firewood, and maybe fireworks. What numbers are our camping spots? I thought I might look on a map which part of the campground we are in? Also, are the tent sites first come first serve? Or are we assigned one?
    Thanks!

    Hi Shannon,

Hope you remember me from last fall. I joined you for the Wed pm hikes. This sounds like fun. I came out to CA from MD to visit my sons, and, of course, neither is around for the Fourth of July celebration. I am a novice camper. Can probably borrow a tent and sleeping bag from my son. I may need some help with what to bring. Thanks,
    Barb Hart
