Bring water and wear layers. Flashlights, too! If there's a chance of rain, come prepared (I'll cancel if it's pouring.) Good boots or trail shoes recommended. Also, there are star-thistles and brambles out there.
We leave at 6:10 sharp. If you're running late, okay to call:[masked] Susan
Dogs okay on leash.
There are restrooms open before dark at two points along our way, as well as drinking fountains.
It's a beautiful hike, mostly trails and dirt paths, but partially on the paved bike path. It's fairly fast-paced, starting from Hagan Park, along the river through River Bend Park, across the bridge to William Pond Park and beyond before turning around and coming back a slightly different route. There are snakes and brambles, roots and rocks, bugs and fairly quick walkers. No complaining; you have been forewarned.
Park at the Community Center lot on Chase Drive, just past the high school, but just BEFORE entering the park gate, on the right.
