FLIPPIN' FRIDAY-Auburn Adventure -Down to the River and Through the Woods 6 Mile

Another Auburn Adventure strikes again.  But, you won't be disappointed, it's a flippin' good workout for those of you who haven't done it, so be prepared!

While the hill is not as hard as Training Hill, in my humble opinion, it's still a good[masked]ft of climbing on the way back out.  Needless to say, it's not a hike for the meak of mind, nor the short of breath.

So, let's meet at the green gate (see below) and head on out.

I'm not sure of the exact route we'll take this time - there are several to choose from - but I need to be back at a reasonable hour as we're leaving town later in the day!  That said, there are plenty of "add on" options for those who wish to extend their mileage.

Directions; From Sacramento I 80 E - Newcastle exit, go straight onto Indian Hill Rd. - left on Auburn-Folsom Rd. - right on Maidu Rd. -Meet at the second green gate on the right ASRA pay parking lot $10.00 If you don't have a pass or don't want to pay you can park for free across from the water treatment plant (PCWA), just slightly farther on the right.
The parking lot where we'll meet has a port-a-potty and a drinking fountain.
Let's meet there by 9.15 am!

Bring the usual - walking poles if needed, water, snacks and a good sense of humor!

I wanted to come to this one, but have to wait on a roofing delivery.
:( Will you be having regular hikes? When is your next one?

Hi Dorothy, I lead a hike pretty much every Friday in the Auburn area - it's always called Flippin' Friday.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
