5.5 mile intermediate Solar System Interpretive Trail out and back
8.5 mile advanced Vista Loop
8:00am Meet at 11th and P to arrange carpools
10:00 am Meet at the horse trailer parking lot at the end of the road, but fyi the bathrooms are near the pay kiosk. Once we are gathered, we will head towards the Robert Ferguson Observatory. From there we will hike the relative distances between the planets of our solar system. Once we hit Pluto, we will have traveled 3.67 billion miles or about 2.8 trail miles and about 800 ft elevation gain. At this point you can turn around and travel back to the cars, or continue on the 8.5 mile Vista Trail with about 1600 ft elevation gain. We'll top Bald Mountain at 2,729 feet where we will enjoy a break before heading back.

Hat and sunscreen
Exit Hwy 12 and stay on Hwy 12 through Sonoma towards Santa Rosa,
Follow Hwy 12 THROUGH Sonoma
Turn right on Adobe Canyon Road. Look for Vineyards Inn Bar & Grill on the corner.
Adobe Canyon Road becomes Mountain Trails Road then McCormick Lane.
Pay $10 or show a state pass at the gate and drive to the end of the road and park in the horse trailer parking lot.
