San Francisco’s Bay to Breakers is the oldest consecutively run annual footrace in the world, a staple to the City by the Bay since May 1912. With a starting point near the San Francisco Bay, a few blocks from The Embarcadero, the 12K race runs west through the city and finishes at the Great Highway where breakers crash onto the Pacific Coast’s Ocean Beach. A quintessential San Francisco experience for 102 years, the race is interwoven into the fabric of the city and is a true reflection and celebration of life between the breakers and the Bay. The 2014 edition will take place on Sunday, May 18.

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
Please note that no alcohol and no wheeled devices (including floats) will be allowed on the race course during Bay to Breakers. Violators will be removed from the race course immediately and will not be issued a refund.
RACE PACKET MAILING
Race Packets include your runner bib, timing tag, Race Instruction Guide and partner premiums and collateral. For an additional fee of $15.00, you can have your race packet mailed to you prior to the race. We will mail your packet approximately two weeks prior to the race. If you do not have your packet mailed, you will need to pick it up at the Race Expo. There is no race packet pick up on the day of the race - if you do not have your packet mailed you will need to pick it up at the Expo.
Groups of thirteen (13) adults or more receive $5.00 off the adult price. Group pricing is not available for kids.
Please register early as capacity in the faster corrals is limited and will sell out. Corrals will be assigned by date of registration and mile pace. Early registrants will be able to switch corrals at a later date based on availability.
Private chartered bus services will be provided by Bauer’s Intelligent Transportation. Bauer's provides top-of-the-line vehicles to comfortably get you around on race day. You can relax in Bauer's shuttles for complete round-trip service from one of their three pick up locations around the Bay Area or utilize their express service back to the starting area from the Finish Line Festival.

There will be a check-in point at the buses the day of the race. This will be for both round-trip shuttle and one-way shuttle from the finish line area. You also have the option to pick up your transportation pass from Expo event on May 16 or 17.

Please note that Bay to Breakers reserves the right to reject any entry. Also, we adhere to the standard running industry policy. All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. This is noted on our registration application, and when you register for our events you must agree to this policy. You may not give or sell your number to another individual – if you do this could result in your disqualification as well as the runner who uses your race number. The entry fee for this year’s event will NOT transfer to next year’s event, no exceptions. This policy stays in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected business or family emergency, pregnancy, etc. There are NO exceptions.
