Stebbins Cold Canyon 5 miles Intermediate

Stebbins Cold Canyon Nature Reserve is located just past Winters outside Davis.

It is a tough intermediate 5 mile loop with rock scrambling and lots of high stair steps.
A great workout with wonderful views of Sacramento Valley and Lake Berryessa.

11:00 a.m. 11th and P park and ride
12:00 noon at trailhead
3:30 p.m. back at Sacramento (approximate)

No dogs allowed on the reserve - sorry!

The reserve is a 35-minute drive west of Davis, about 55 minutes from 11th and P.

Directions to trailhead:

West on I-80 to Hwy 113
Exit at Covell Blvd/E6 (left over freeway) to Winters
In Winters, take Hwy 128 toward Lake Berryessa.
A silver fire gate will be obvious 0.2 miles past the point where Hwy 128 crosses Putah Creek. This is the main entrance to the reserve.

Parking is located directly across from the entrance.

Please pay your carpool driver $3.50 per hour of drive time. So, about $6.

Great hike! Shannon - I did some internet searching when I got home re my question about elevation gain. Gleaning from a couple different sites, I think it was about 1300 feet.

I will come directly to the trailhead then. I asked because if there is gonna be a head count before we start, I thought may be I should meet everyone there.

Hello - Sorry to bail, but I confess I got on the Mt. St Helena hike tomorrow. So I won't be joining you after all. I hope to hike with you another time. Have fun. Jean
