HiCo Haiku (Hike Ku?)

I had this idea the other night: HiCo Hike Ku, in the style of Haiku. Haiku is a style of poetry that is three lines, with 5 syllables in the first and third lines, and seven syllables in the second line 5-7-5. It doesn't have to rhyme. Nobody really knows where Haiku originated, but Wikipedia says it comes from Japan.

I'll start it off, and you can feel free to add your own.

Wind sounds in tall pines:
Hikers laughing and tromping
Arrest ancient moods.

Alpine lake glitters:
Ham and cheese sandwich devoured
The sun never stops.

Up and over the pass we traverse,
what a wonderful experience it is,
a new vista is revealed as time seems to pause.
