I quit my job Dec 31st, 2011 with a goal to climb Mt. Aconcagua. I had failed summitting a year earlier due to lack of time and was determined to try as many times or as long as it took to get to the summit in 2012 so I quit my job.
I haven't gone back to my job yet. I ended almost frost bitten but made it to the summit of Aconcagua in February. I hung around South America for a few months, summitted Huayna Potosi, travelled through Chile, Argentina, Boliva and reflected on what I would do next.
With the adventure bug still in me I decided to attempt Mt. Denali in June with a few alterations to my gear that would prevent any likelihood of frost bite scenario that I faced on Aconcagua.
Denali was fun. I made it to the summit solo. I learned a few lessons which I want to test out on a higher mountain (Mt. Lenin) in Krygzstan.
Looks like I might not be going back to my old job anytime soon. Anyways, join me for a slide show about my journey :)
