Morning walk at Huntley Meadows Park

Moderate hike through Huntley Meadows Park. This lovely wetlands park with board walk is one of Fairfax Counties biggest parks. Nestled in Fairfax County's Hybla Valley, Huntley Meadows Park is a rich, natural and historical island of over 1,500 acres.

Where to Meet: Entry to Visitor center. 3701 Lockheed Blvd, Alexandria, VA 22306
Difficulty-easy side of moderate.
Distance 5 miles
Duration: 2-2.5 hours Scenery: Wetland woodlands, marsh.
Trail surface: mostly dirt/very muddy when wet, standing water. Some gravel. One section of boardwalk. Wear boots, expect wet feet.
Facilities: No, Visitor center usually closed.
