This hike will cover about 10 miles along the North Shore Channel. We will meet on Noyes Street in front of the Purple Line's Noyes Station. From there we will head a few blocks west to the North Shore Channel Trail. The trail is mostly paved and we will head as far south as Lawrence Avenue. At Lawrence will will head back north a couple blocks to walk a bit more along the North Branch of the Chicago River. Our walk will end at the Kedzie Brown Line Station in Chicago's Albany Park neighborhood.

Note that this hike starts and ends at different places. There are several options for returning to the starting point via public transportation including the CTA 93 (California/Dodge) bus and the Purple Line, the 93 (Lawrence) bus and the Red Line to the Purple Line, or the Brown Line to the Red Line to the Purple Line.
