This walk focusing on two south side parks will cover Jackson Park (the former fairgrounds for the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition), Washington Park, and the connecting Midway.
This will be about a ten mile walk at about a 3.25 mile an hour pace while stopping to look at some of the sites along our walk. I’ll comment on a few points of interest along our walk. Note that if you do not maintain a brisk pace you will be left to explore the parks on your own. Most of the walk will be on paved trails and sidewalks or gravel trails.
Bring something to drink and a snack.
We will meet in front of the Logan Center for the Arts, which is on the south side of the Midway and is the tallest building in the area.
