Palos Trails hike-Bullfrog Lake

We're hiking parts of the Palos Trails System in Willow Springs . We'll meet at Bullfrog Lake. Hiking about 9 miles. The terrain is hilly with uneven, sometimes narrow trails. We'll hike at a brisk pace with minimal breaks. We should finish in 3-3.5 hours.  Bring water and a snack for the trail.

Directions: I55 to LaGrange Rd (Manheim/12/20). South on La Grange Rd to Archer Ave(171). South on Archer. 95th veers off to the left approximate 1.5 miles past Willow Springs Rd. Take 95th to Wolf Rd (Forest Preserve entrance) and turn right. Bullfrog Lake is the first right turn. From 294 exit 75th St/Willow Springs Rd. Turn right (west) on 75th St which ends at Willow Springs Rd at the first stoplight. Turn left (south) on Willow Springs Rd to Archer Ave(171). Turn right on Archer(south). Veer left on 95th. Turn right on Wolf Rd. Bullfrog Lake is the first right turn. From 83 (Kingery) take Archer Ave(171) north to 95th. Turn right and then turn right on Wolf Rd. Bullfrog Lake is the first right turn.

We will meet in the second parking section by the PortaPotty.

    Well shut! I drove around but couldn't find the entrance to the lake. I gave up around 11:30. I'll try again next time. :(

    I would recommend cross trainers for now. It's supposed to be sunny and dry for Saturday, and these are less expensive.
