We're going to hike about 10 miles in the Lowden-Miller State Forest. I have never been to this park before, so it is possible we may end up doing more miles than intended. I don't know what the terrain is like, so please bring a map of the park in case you need to shorten the hike.
Please note this park is about 2 hours west of Chicago.
"Nestled in the Rock River Valley, just 3 miles south of the town of Oregon, lies a 2,291-acre wooded area that is one of Ogle County's most beautiful and historic sites. Its scenic qualities come from 120-foot bluffs along 3.5 miles of riverfront forested with hardwood and pine trees"
