Are we meeting by the stairs?
Yup, we are meeting at Swallow Cliff.

Sure that's fine.
Hi Lindas. Please confirm, we are meeting at Swallow Cliff......
I am still looking for a ride. I want to add that I do have a car but I don't feel comfortable driving long distances. So I can meet you at the location from which you are leaving. I don't need to be picked up!

We have 4 talented/great trip leaders on this one. Let's spawn more groups, please!!!!!

Nina, everyone who is a trip leader is a volunteer. Please understand that it requires some effort and commitment to lead a hike and that oftentimes trip leaders just want to relax and enjoy a hike just like you do. As I mentioned below, you have the option of posting another version of this hike yourself. If you are unwilling to do so, then please wait patiently for a spot to open up instead of suggesting that other people do the work for you.
I truly learned my lesson and will not ask such a silly and insensitive question anymore. I also truly appreicate all the things Meetup leaders have done for us! Now, how do I change my RSVP from 'waitlist' to 'no'? Somehow I could not do so.
I'm sorry to everyone if my remarks sound a bit harsh. Please understand that on virtually every hike I attend someone on the waiting list wants to know why more people can't go. It gets frustrating. Once a guy posted 3 comments asking the trip limit be raised so that he could go. At first he asked nicely, but then finally resorted to: "Come on, open up the hike to more people, I want to go!!!" Some organizers can just ignore the comments and let it roll off their backs. And some stop organizing events because they just want to hike, and don't want to deal with all of the other stuff.
Happy to be hiking with this fun group!!!
Calvin, Joanne, leaders don't always want to be leaders. The good news is that you can help out by leading your own group on this hike. Just post it on the message board and I'm sure people from the waiting list will be happy to join you. The trail map and meeting spot are already in the trip description, just pick a different meeting time and you are set!
Are leashed dogs allowed on the hikes?
