Question re. Limits on People

Hi, I'm just getting started with this group and wondering... why is there a limit to the number of people (20 for this Sun.) who can go on hikes? If more than that are interested, why not allow them to go?

I would like to include everyone but there are a number of good reasons not to have a very large group and the size of the group depends on the event and the leader(s). Some areas are more accommodating to larger groups. For this Sunday's hike there are limited facilities available and I wanted to have a manageable group size based upon the conditions we will be walking through. Even small groups can get spread out along a hike. I also had to register the group and number of walkers for us to be able to walk through Graceland together. And most members prefer smaller sized groups as confirmed in a member survey a while back.
