Winter Hike/snowshoe at Lebanon Hills park (Visitor center trail head)

*** If it snows substantially, we will be snowshoeing instead of hiking. ***

Park: Lebanon Hills is approximately 2000 acre park located in the South East metro. This park has multiple entrances and we will meet at the visitor center trail head.

Trails: Trails include connecting loops around several lakes. The terrain is somewhat hilly. Trails are mostly unpaved and could be muddy/slippery depending on conditions.

Hiking plan: We'll start at the visitor center trail head and hike various trails to cover 6-8 miles.

Time/distance: This hike will be between 2-3 hours and cover 6-8 miles.

Difficulty: Challenging due to grades, distance and speed.

Amenities: Modern toilets and drinking water at the visitor center. However, they could be closed for the season.

Recommend to bring: Water, high-energy snack, dress according to weather.

No Kids, No Dogs, No +1's: Only registered members of TCH may attend.

Questions: Post questions in comments section after you RSVP.

I had a great time yesterday! Thank you so much for the fun day!! All of you were so amazingly wonderful and I am glad that we all overcame the cold weather and enjoyed the beautiful views!! Next time I will wear hiking shoes instead of boots, thanks for all your input on how to make the next hike even better!! You all rock!

Sorry I couldn't make it this morning my neck started to bother me. I got whip lash a month ago from a car accident and I have had pain and tension headaches. Hopefully next time!

This is my first hiking meetup, looking forward to a great adventure. I assume that I need to bring my own snow shoes (I have a pair). I have an extra pair if anyone is in need of one. They are the exercising snow shoes, not the wooden ones. See you there tomorrow. I hope the temps stay up for it... smiles...

Hello Jennifer, I was going to use my yack tracks that I run with but if you can bring the extra pair of snow shoes I would like to try it out.

Friday's weather forecast calls for 3" of snow. Bring snowshoes and ice-grippers. Depending upon the conditions, we may hike or snowshoe.

We welcome our newest Event Organizer, Ashutosh, to the TC Hiking MU Grp. Join him on this winter hike to Lebanon Hills, one of our favorite venues. If you've not been there and are wondering what all of the development plan controversy is about, this is your chance to see the park for yourself. Enjoy!!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
