Copper Foothills Hike Every Monday after Work

  • Jul 1, 2013 · 5:45 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Due to the fire restrictions, we will have to hike the foothills. I have a Monday commitment that I cannot get out of, so I will not be leading. Since there are so many that enjoy this, I will allow the group to continue as they wish. There are plenty of regulars who are able to lead these.

What to bring: Water, snack, hat. No dogs please.

Limit 15 hikers. If you RSVP and can't make it, please change your RSVP as soon as you know so that others will have an opportunity to advance from the waitlist.

Great hike, but I would have liked to have been able to bring my dog sincerely there was a day along on the hike anyway.

The hike cannot go to the Eye. It will be a foothills hike.

Can't make the Monday hikes. I will be changing them to another night of the week.

Fun and a workout. I have MTB'd the lower parts - no closure there.

I've hiked around the foothills trail. The closure starts wherever the Sandia Wilderness starts. I don't know where that is.

People who have recently gone on this hike should post where the trail is closed. If the closure is far enough up, it could still be good exercise.

just remember that the actual Eye of the Sandias is in the Sandia Mountain Wilderness and is off limits due to the closure of the Wilderness!
