Tent Rocks is one of the must-do hikes in this area!
Total distance is an estimated 5 miles.
I consider it an easy hike, with a short stretch of fairly steep climbing. The trail has us scaling one vertical rock of about 4 feet.
The trail includes a cool slot canyon. It is not claustrophobic and you can still see the sky.
Views from the top of the trail are awesome.
We will carpool. Meet in the northwest corner of the parking lot of the Lowe's store on Paseo del Norte at I-25. I'll be in a black Dodge pickup.
The drive takes about one hour. Please share $5 or $10 with the volunteer who drives.
Photographers are sure to find many photo ops.
We will return to Albuquerque late morning or early afternoon.
Anyone who wants to bring a snack lunch may do so.
Park rules say no dogs.
