We will hike on Trail #365 to the Lower Tram station and back (less than 1000' elevation gain). WE will take a 10-15 min restroom and snack break at the station. This hike is rolling foothills, easy 6 miles round trip, but I do expect some snow and icy spots. Keep this in mind.
It is now WINTER hiking weather, so I recommend gaiters, hiking boots, coats gloves and hats (dress in layers), and micro-spikes in your pack in case we run into icy patches on the trail. This will be true from now until late March.
$1 fee at the entry station pay envelopes or to the gate guard. There is a restroom in the north parking lot.
We meet at the North Parking LOT: Turn left AT the gate guard bldg and drive north down the road, over the bridge, and past the Kiwanis area to the parking lot. Look for my Blue Honda Element.
Friendly dogs okay but must be on leash. If there is a lot of snow, I would recommend dogs stay home.
Check back the morning of hike before 8am in case ugly weather causes the hike to be canceled. Please be at trailhead ready to hike on time, we will start walking at 9:05am.
