Description: We'll meet at Smith's and carpool to the Monticello subdivision trail head. This is an early morning cardio workout, we're allowing 1 hour (or close to it) to get to the top, then we turn around and head back. We use the post marking the intersection with the Embudo trail as our turnaround point.
Length: 4.8 miles
Elevation: 6,320-8,460 ft.
Difficulty: Moderate to strenuous. Everyone hikes at their own speed, so difficulty is what you make it.
NOTE: Since this hike is usually full with a waiting list, 'no shows' will be taken seriously. Please don't sign up unless you plan to attend.
