Piedra Lisa "your pace" workout (hike to ridge and back) steep

Piedra Lisa is a cool trail that is very near the La Luz trail but runs N/S (mostly) instead of going East up the mountain like La Luz. We'll hike just as far as the ridge, where we can get a view both North and South. The hike itself is about 1.5 miles one way and maybe 1300 feet of climbing, which is significant. Also, the Piedra Lisa trail is a bit on the slippery side, so wear shoes/boots with good traction. Also bring water and sun protection. The Piedra Lisa trail is very easy to follow except for finding it in the first place. That being the case, people will be allowed to go their own pace rather than kept in one large group. People should turn around after one hour even if you don't get to the ridge. People who get to the top will be able to enjoy the view til the turn around time. The trailhead is a fee area, so we will meet in the SE corner of the Albertson's supermarket parking lot at the intersection of Academy and Tramway and carpool to the trailhead. We will leave the parking lot no later than 5:50and should be at the trail head about 6:10 PM.

Since people are hiking at their own pace you may find yourself hiking by yourself at times. If you are not comfortable with this don't come on this hike.
