I was wondering if we'd intersect in cyberspace.  Your wording was a bit more comprehensive and spelled things out better for the outdoors-ignorant.
 
Enjoy your Labor Day backpack!  I'm supposed to be doing a Latir Wilderness trip this coming weekend, but communication has been spotty.  We shall see...

If you saw the news coverage last night on Channel 13 you know the District has had to close both the Sulphur and Cienega Picnic Areas for the remainder of the season. The bear activity has increased in the area and we are in process of getting a closure order in place.
 
Please avoid the area and discourage visitors from trying to access the sites. We still have the rest of the mountain available for picnicking and hiking.
