Hello one and all,
A trip to southeastern Indiana is what will be in store for this hike. The group made a trip out to Versailles for the first time earlier this year, so it seems like a good time to hike the place again. The terrain here ranges from moderate to somewhat rugged, and we'll plan on doing four hours of hiking.
Afterwards, we'll be having our usual after-hike dinner at the Oaken Barrel in Greenwood (www.oakenbarrel.com).
Car Pool Info: Our usual north-side car pool will be meeting along the west side of Broad Ripple High School (1115 Broad Ripple Avenue) in the free parking spots along Compton Street just south of Broad Ripple Avenue. The best places to park are directly beside the high school between Broad Ripple Avenue and 62nd Street. These spots are free on Saturdays and are usually wide open when we meet for the car pool. We'll be leaving at 11:00am on Saturday. Please be on time.
Anyone who wants to meet us at the park can do so at the picnic area just off the main road that leads into the park. Once you pass the gate house, take the first right at the fork in the road and the picnic area will be to the right. A map of the park is located at http://www.in.gov/dnr..., and click on Property map in the box on the page.
Car pool @ 11:00am
