A different kind of scenery than what this group usually encounters is what we will be in store for this Friday evening event taking place at the Indy Museum of Art.
We’ll be taking a break from the trails and cooler temperatures to check out the Sacred Spain exhibition, temporarily being held at the museum. It features 17th-century paintings and sculpture, some of which are making their first U.S. appearance, and long-time hiking member and IMA employee Rebecca will be giving us an informal tour of the exhibit.
The plan for the evening will be to meet inside the museum at the Nourish Cafe for the IMA’s happy hour at 6pm and have a drink before visiting the exhibit. The cafe’s bar offers a variety of Upland beer on tap and organic wines, and food is available as well.
After some drinks and conversation, we’ll then take on the exhibit, and once we’ve made our way through it, we can explore the other galleries in the museum before closing time at 9pm.
More info on Sacred Spain and the IMA as a whole can be found at www.imamuseum.org.
See you there,
