Bop to the Top @ the OneAmerica Tower

And now for something completely different...

Have you ever been downtown driving past the OneAmerica building and thought, "I'd like to race from the ground floor of that place all the way up to the very top"?

In case the answer is yes, for this event we'll be taking a break from our usual trails and getting a stair-climbing workout 36 floors high. We'll be participating in the Bop to the Top, a stair-climbing race in downtown Indy, which raises money for the Riley Children's Hospital.

Information about the race can be found here at the event's web page. Registration can be done at the site and the fee is $20 per person.

Even if you aren't interested in joining us on the 19th, please consider making a donation to the hospital or possibly even volunteering at the event itself.

Rather than registering as a group, it's best if everyone registers on their own, and then we can meet around the check-in area on the first floor of the building at 11am.

Our after-race plan will be to grab a late lunch at Barcelona Tapas.

As usual, our car pool will be meeting at the west side of Broad Ripple High School (1115 Broad Ripple Avenue) in the free parking spots along Compton Street just south of Broad Ripple Avenue (this is not a parking lot--we park on the street and usually gather on the sidewalk under the tree near the cement bench). We'll be leaving at 10:30am. The best places to park are directly beside the high school between Broad Ripple Avenue and 62nd Street. Please be on time and arrive ready to go.

Catch you later,

Michael, thanks for organizing. Glad i did it. Totally different experience compared to running. Sorry I couldn't make it for lunch.

Hi guys. My start time isn't until 11:18, so we'll still be meeting at 11am.
    See you then.

Is this the tallest building (I don't think it can be with 36 floors)...downtown with the two large antennaes on top? I just sustained a foot injury (all the toes on my left foot were smashed by my partner while I was out salsa dancing)....So...the race, I think is pretty much out...But...maybe I can volunteer...Is there a link or person to contact for that? ;-)
