Memorial Hike for our main organizer Jewel- Little Si

Jewel passed way Wednesday Oct 2. Jewels family would like to do a memorial hike on the 12th of October. We will meet at the trailhead board at 9am.

"Thank you all for taking the time to read this and for keeping Julie and our family in your prayers during this difficult time. Julie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008. Shortly after her diagnosis it was discovered that the cancer had metastasized and had spread into her spine and liver. Over the past 5 years, Julie has undergone 5 different treatments including chemo and endocrine therapy. All with the hopes that while buying time with each treatment, there would be a cure.She was fortunate in the way that she remained healthy and active through most of her treatment. Unfortunately, this past month her cancer stopped responding to all treatment and spread throughout her body. Her health has rapidly and dramatically declined.We have decided as a family it is in her best interest to not move forward with any further treatment. We will make every effort to make sure she is as comfortable as possible and that she is surrounded with love. Julie is a fighter and has fought a courageous battle these past 5 years. She is full of life and love and is a wonderful mother to her 3 boys. (Mathew 17, Marcus 10 and Evan, 8). She is a dearly loved mother, daughter, Auntie, sister and friend. Your prayers and support are very much appreciated."
