Map: Green Trails Snoqualmie Pass #207
This snowshoe is mostly on a switchback logging road, but we may have fun and cut corners to play in the snow and make our own path to the top. We start at Cabin Creek snopark on I-90, east of Snoqualmie Pass. Parking at this snopark is known to fill up quickly on weekends, so we start early to beat the crowds.
Drivers must have a *groomed* trails snopark permit (not just a regular snopark permit).
Snowshoes are a must. Hiking poles with flake basket at the end are recommended since we may be in deep snow. Also bring Micro Spikes / Yaktrax of you have them. Please have plenty of warm clothing and a water-proof layer.
The destination will change if conditions at the Pass are not favorable for driving.
We meet Saturday 3/12, 7:30am, at the Issaquah Transit Center. To get there take exit 15 off I-90, and drive south about two blocks. The transit center will be on your left. Park at the ground floor of the covered parking lot, near the North entrance.
