I am hiking the Rattlesnake Ledge Trail and timing myself. I am not a trail runner so I won't be going that fast. I don't plan to stop to smell the moss either. My pace will be somewhere in between that...for as long as my out-of-shape self can go anyway.
Depending on how hot it is, I may be bringing my small dog (it's ok...she's quite the hiker). If you plan to bring yours, please let me know in the comments section below.
I encourage carpooling to the trailhead. If you are interested, leave a comment below and hopefully you can match up with someone.
Trail details: No parking pass required at the trailhead. 4.0 miles rountrip to the ledge (you can continue past the ledge on your own if you want). The elevation gain is approximately 550 feet per mile. It's a steady climb and a good workout but pretty short. The last trip took about 2.5 hours, including a break at the top.
