Evening Hike to Rattle Snake Ledge

This hike is cross-posted to the Bellevue/Seattle Hiking & Dragon Boating Meetup Group Here: http://www.meetup.com/hiking-and-dragon-boating/events/71704732/

Hike Info:
Rattlesnake Ledge
Elevation Gain: ~1200 ft
Length: ~3 miles round trip
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate depending on your ability

Please bring a Headlamp!

Since the Full Moon coincides with the holiday this month, I decided to move the "Full Moon" hike to the following Friday.  The weather forecast is supposed to be great for this night as well:  http://www.wunderground.com/weather-forecast/98045

Please also note that we are not professional hikers and do not have certified training or insurance. As you are aware, inherent hazards and risks are associated with hiking and all other physical activity. Please be an experienced hiker and be responsible for your own safety and health.

Let’s all meet at the trailhead (near the porta-potties) in time to begin hiking at 6:30PM. Please remember that the main Rattlesnake parking lot gates close at 8:00PM and your car will be towed if it is in the lot so I recommend you park alongside the road (and NOT in the parking lot) or in the small overflow lot which is outside the gate and looks like it could hold 12 well-parked cars.

Please feel free to coordinate carpooling amongst yourselves. Many hikers use the Eastgate Park & Ride to meet for carpooling.

Click here for a google map of Rattlsnake’s location. To get there, take I-90 east, exit #32, turn right and go 3 miles. Please google the directions for yourself. It’s not hard to find.

What to bring:
• Water.
• Something to eat and something to share if you wish.
• Enough extra clothes to be warm while waiting for moonrise.
• Flashlight or headlamp and extra batteries.
• Camera.

Ameya: Yes, I can meet you there. I didn't mention that I'm planning on staying a little longer after sunset. If you'd like to stay that long, I'm happy to take you (and anyone else) there and back. I'll be at the P&R closer to 5:40. Let me know if that still works.

It turns out I won't be downtown Seattle today. I will be in Issaquah and can meet folks at the Issaquah Park and Ride at 5:45pm if you would like to carpool. I have room for four. Please let me know.

I may be in the Pioneer Square area for work all day tomorrow. I'll know for sure tomorrow AM and will let folks know then. If so, I'd be happy to take folks leaving from that area.

Is anyone willing to meet up with a carless hiker in Seattle? I can bus to a convenient location in the city if need be.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
