Headlee Pass and Vesper Peak, *this Saturday*

Roundtrip: 6.6 miles
Elevation Gain: 4000 ft
Highest Point: 6200 ft

This peak is in the Mt. Loop highway area, not far from Barlow Pass and south of Mt. Dickerman. This is a strenuous hike. The trail is steep. Getting to the summit requires some off-trail hiking on rock. The pace will be medium to fast.

This is an all-day event with dinner afterwards if people are interested.
Bring plenty of water (3 liters at least), hiking poles and a headlamp.
Bring cash to reimburse drivers for gas.
Bring map & compass if you want to practice/learn how to identify surrounding peaks.
No dogs please.
NW forest pass required at trailhead.

We meet this Saturday 10/6, 8:00am, at the Ash Way Lynnwood P&R. Going north on I-5, take exit 183. Take a left turn to 164th St. SW and head West above I-5. Take a right turn (North) to Ash Way. Let's meet at the south side of the P&R.
