I did this hike last year in June and loved it. The views are great, lots of wild flowers and so much to see on the trail, that you don’t notice the elevation gain. It’s a good time to hike this trail, before it gets too hot. I’ll be packing some extra weight for training, so my pace will be slow to moderate, but others can go faster. Even if you don’t make it to the top, the views will be rewarding. For those who do, the highlight is having lunch on the site of the old fire lookout. Snow (if there is any left) will not be a problem so no need for special gear.

See you Saturday!
