Hike Lower Big Quilcene

  • Mar 2, 2014 · 7:30 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

For all those of you who are on the waitlist for March 8, or for whom March 8 doesn't work: Let's hike the Lower Big Quilcene trail to Camp Jolley (5 miles each way), or Bark Shanty Camp (2.6 miles each way). This is a relatively low-elevation stroll through the woods.  Please bring $10 for the driver and your 10 essentials. If you have a National park or NW forest pass, please bring it.

We will be leaving promptly.

Pouring rain will cancel this hike!

Yeah I had trouble with that and my computer, that's why it took a couple of days to upload the pix.

Dagmar I am with you for doing the other hike. Had a blast.

Jason I had all our stuff in the bathroom and the dehumidifier running. I know what need waterproofing. :-)

I know that the weather report looks a little iffy but I still really want to go, so I'll be there tomorrow morning regardless. I'll buy a NW Forrest pass, so we'll have Carolyn's and mine. If anyone else has one please bring it. We'll decide on who drives, and how far we hike when we're all together. We could form to groups depending on how ambitious people are, and arrange rides accordingly.
    See you tomorrow.

I just got confirmed. Has it been decided on whether we're doing the long or short hike?

As far as needing a ride goes: If you can make your way to Haggen, we'll figure out there who'll drive. Who has a NW Forrest Pass?

I would rather do this hike than 03/08. How can I cancel the other one?

I think you just go to that event (find it on the calendar), then you should see "Your RSVP: Yes" on the right near the top, and under that a button that says "CHANGE."
