Come join NFE members who will paddle the Rainbow River!

Come get your kayak, paddles, vest, whistle and any other thing you might need.

We will meet at the Rainbow River Boat Ramp at 8:30 am and we will start kayaking PROMPTLY at 9:00 am. This will give everybody enough time to get there and to get your kayak ready for paddling.

We'll start by heading up the Rainbow River to the head springs at Rainbow Springs State Park. Then we'll paddle back.

You may want to bring water, a hat, bug spray, camera, something to snack on, money, sunscreen, non-disposable container to drink from, kayak, paddles, life jackets and a water proof container if you got it.  See you all there.

I will also be launching from the 484 ramp. Will meetup with group in that area.

I will be launching from the "Blue Run" ramp on Rte 484 and will connect with the group as you come up the river. It will give me time for more wildlife photography! Its also a much easier launch ramp since it is dedicated ONLY to paddle boats.

Which ramp will we be using? "Blue Run" on Rte 484 that is mentioned lower in the body of the invitation or the City Hall ramp that is posted at the top of the invitation. (Blue Run to headsprings is about 5 miles. City Hall ramp is about 6.5 miles to the headsprings.)

hi all , this is a great place to see one of my fav. rivers it puts out 600,000,000 gal. of water every day . 4th largest in FL. 10th largest in the world . it takes about 2 -3 hours up from the ramp 5 miles. it's a pretty easy paddle and well worth it

Thanks. My son and I were already planning to go that day. It would be fun to meet up with others, but I want the trip to be manageable. We definitely want to kayak near the spring.
