Congaree NP Cedar Creek Paddle Trip

Intermediate Kayak Canoe trip.  Distance: 7 miles

2 hours drive from Charlotte.  Shuttle required

Skill level: intermediate

We will meet at the Welcome to SC center off I 77 South at 8:30AM

We will have to scoot over and under trees if any have fallen and make some tight turns

We will paddle Cedar Creek from Bannister Bridge to Cedar Creek landing, about 7 miles. We will be on the water from 5-7 hours with plenty of time for a stop(s) for lunch(es).

Bring all your water gear as well as lunch, dry clothes and money for dinner on the way home.

This trip only goes if the water level allows. I will monitor water level as well as be in touch with park rangers.

This would not be a good trip for beginners

Watch for camping options ... and snakes(Ted likes snakes)

This is the trip Mary Jo made famous and now a regular Berg outing

A terrific day, in a very unique place, with a fun group of paddlers--just a perfect way to spend a mid-November day. Thanks Rick for putting this together.

Thanks for organizing this beautiful paddle through Cedar Creek. It was fun to navigate these waters and to enjoy such a lush and serene landscape. The company, too, was wonderful. Thank you.

Had a great time. Met some new friends that I hope we do more together with soon. Just a reminder. When paddling in colder weather. Bring DRY clothes with you. You never know what can happen.
