I'm a native Charlottean and a long-time Berg Wanderer. My travels with this group are among the most enriching experiences of my life.
How did you find out about us?

Where is your favorite location for outdoor activities (local and not-so-local?)
Rivers, mountains, forests. Beaches. Waterfalls! New Zealand, Iceland, out West, Yellowstone, New England, Rockies, Keys, and the beloved Okefenokee.
What outdoor activities are you interested in?
Canoeing, hiking, downhill skiing (some X-C), biking (road and mtn), camping, rafting, rock-hopping, rappelling....
What is your favorite outdoor activity and what is your skill level (novice, intermediate or skilled?)
Wildlife viewing and photography. Canoeing (mild whitewater), skiing (most blacks (no moguls)), and hiking ("I'll be along shortly").

Hi, Stu! Gloria and I are planning to move back to the Charlotte area soon (we need to be near my parents). Probably this fall, maybe early next year. I thought I'd look for a hiking club; I should have just asked you! Seems like this must be a good group to join if you're one of the pooh-bahs.

Stuart was one of the first people I met when I attended the Laura's Trail Clean up. He made me feel very welcome. The can of goodies should have ended up in my car for the return trip hom.

has a great sense of humor. He brings chocolate and other goodies
on our events ! He's also a great dancer. What more could you ask? -
