Sorry for the change but my work schedule has changed so I have to push this back a day to sat instead. Hope this doesn't affect anyone who signed up already.
I had scheduled this back in March but came down with some crude and had to cancel it. So now that I'm feeling better and the weather is getting nicer lets head up here and check it out.
The trail meanders back and forth across a small stream, goes through meadows, through pines up and down hills and on a a dirt road for a while till we reach the bridge crossing at North Saint Vrain Creek.
From Lyons, travel 9.5 miles west on U.S. Highway 36. Turn southwest onto Larimer County Road (CR) 47. Follow CR 47 for three miles and veer left onto National Forest System Road 118 as the paved road curves right to enter Big Elk Meadows subdivision. Coulson Gulch Trailhead is to the left immediately after NFSR 118 crosses the cattle guard.
