We tried to get up this trail back in April but we didn't make it up too far before we were postholing up to our Knees (and of course we didn't think we would need snowshoes) . I'm sure by now all the snow is gone. From what we had experienced this is a nice wooded trail very different from the northern approach.
The Ben Tyler Trail, though not particularly heavily-trodden, is reasonably well-marked and easy to follow through the heavy woods. The hiker will leave the Ben Tyler Trail for a short (less than 1 mile) off-trail segment across mostly open land dotted by isolated trees and willow groves to reach the summit of "Kenosha Peak".
Carpool: For those interested in carpooling lets meet at the Fort Restaurant (19192 Colorado 8, Morrison if you are not familiar where this is please google the directions) we will leave here at 8 am
