Mt. Shavano and Tabeguache Peak
It might be a good idea to head down Friday night but I am not sure yet. Checking with my assistant on my schedule(ha). However, I am trying to bag as many peaks before the fall/winter season hits and I *feel* this year, is going to be an early fall.
I would like to do the combo:
4,600 feet and with Tabby too=5,600 feet and 11.25 total miles.
Your sense of adventure.
Tent, sleeping bag, pad, the 10 essentials.
Layers, jackets, gloves, hat, sunscreen.
At least 4 liters of water, snacks and lunch. Cookies for kimmy.
Trekking poles, and anything else you need.
Be ready for anything.
The past 3 weeks, I have been at high altitude and it has been COLD. Your pack should include winter gear. Consider your planning to be=winter backpacking!
So ON MY HIKES, this is my policy:
Do not change your RSVP from "YES" to "NO" hours from the event. If you change your RSVP within 24 hours of the event, I will mark you as a "no show". If you "no show" on one of my hikes, you will not get preferential attendance on the next event that you "intend" to attend.
In my event descriptions, there is a lot of information: Please read it! If then I missed something, you cannot find it on Google, contact me. On the 14er trips, I ask that you contact me. If you do not contact me, I will change your RSVP. On high altitude, I will not hike with someone where I do not know their ability, it is not safe. Other groups, you sign legal waivers, here I ask for a phone call.
