Announcing a new Meetup for Weekend Hikers...Plus!

What: Dayhike NEAR Roxborough State Park

When: Wednesday, August 11,[masked]:00 AM

Where: Roxborough State Park
4751 Roxborough Dr
littleton, CO 80125

Folks this is a trail I just found. It's near the entrance to Roxborough State Park so I'm going to list Roxborough as the location but follow my directions to the trailhead.

Directions to the trailhead: Take Wadsworth south past Chatfield State Park. Turn left on Waterton Road (just before the entrance to Lockheed Martin.) Continue on Waterton Road?crossing the South Platte River, until it ends at North Rampart Range Road (1.6 miles) Turn right (south) on North Rampart Range Road. Continue south past Roxborough Village and the Foothills Water Treatment Plant. (2.3 miles) At the intersection of North Rampart Range Road and Roxborough Park Road (just before the entrance to Arrowhead golf course), turn left onto Roxborough Park Road. Stay on Roxborough Park Road. Do not go into the Park. After the road curves around to the left the Sharptrail trailhead is on the right. If you reach the Park entrance station you have gone too far and need to go back.

The trail: The Sharptrail is an out and back. I have not been on this trail but judging from the map it's a fairly easy to moderate trail. We can go as far as we want and then turn back.
