Announcing a new Meetup for Weekend Hikers...Plus!

What: Let's go see the eagles!!!

When: Saturday, May 1,[masked]:30 AM

Barr Lake St. Park
Adams Co.
Denver, CO 80206

And no it's not the Eagles vs the Broncos.

Again by popular demand...

This is a limited number outing so you are not allowed to RSVP maybe. And if you sign up then SHOW UP!

The eagles are nesting at Barr Lake again this year and the chicks should be around three weeks old by now. So let's go and see their fuzzy little heads.

Dry Creek Station
Directions to the Dry Creek park-n-ride: From I-25 and E Dry Creek Rd., head west on E Dry Creek Rd to the light at S Chester St. Be in the far left lane. Make a u-turn at the light. Now heading east get into the far right lane. In maybe 100 yards the lane veers off for a right hand turn. Now take the left lane that turns up into the park-n-ride. We?ll leave from this park-n-ride at 8:00. Please be on time!!!!

If somebody wants to take charge of a northern park-n-ride let me know and I'll put your information here.

Directions: Take I-76 northeast, exit on Bromley Lane. Go east to Picadilly Road, then south to the park entrance.

The hike: It's about a three mile level walk around a dirt road to get to where you can see the eagles. It's a nice walk around the lake with plenty of birds to see.

And you have to leave Bowser at home.
