Winter trails day at Echo Lake. 1/12/12 at 10:00 AM and it's freeeee!!!!

Description: Snow is no reason to stop hiking. Though your favorite footpath may be covered in deep powder, why pine for spring when you can slip on a pair of snowshoes and get out on the trail all winter long? Snowshoeing, after all, is simply hiking in winter. Winter Trails Day is a free snowshoe festival with hundreds of demo snowshoes for adults and children; guided hikes and snow activities. For tips on what to wear or bring, ask one of our expert staff. Beginning at 2:00 PM, the available quantity of demo equipment will be restricted; so be sure to arrive early. Bring your drivers license to registration. For more information visit: From Interstate 70: take exit #252 (CO-74/Evergreen Parkway), follow CO-74 for 2.8 miles, turn right onto CO-Rd 66/Squaw Pass Road and continue for 18.2 miles to Echo Lake; or take exit #240 at Idaho Springs and follow CO-103 S/Chicago Creek Road southwest for 12.6 miles to Echo Lake.

Have fun!
