New Hike: Mt Falcon Park - Sunday 10am

A former member

Hi All,

Looks like weather will cooperate for Sunday. Great burgers and handcut fries make for a nice lunch at Sit-n-Bull... a "refined" dive bar close by with a real Chef in the closet-sized kitchen.

See you there,

Mount Falcon Park
Elevation: 200 to 400 feet
Difficulty: Moderate
Pets: dogs are OK on a leash here.

This Sunday, April 6, 2007, 10:00 AM

This is a great park on a close-in mountaintop with great views. We have a lot of loops and variety for choices.

Where: Off C-470 and Hwy 285. See directions below. Do not use the Meetup link for Map

Meet at the upper Parking lot. Directions below here.

Getting There:
C-470 to Exit for hwy 285. Take the exit and head NorthWest. Take the Indian Hills turn-off from U.S. Highway 285, follow Parmalee Gulch Road for about 5 miles to right turn at Picutis Road, then follow the signs to the west parking area for Mt Falcon Park.

Watch the weird curve coming up the hill. The sign pointing straight ahead looks like it means to take the right fork. Don't. Bear left on that curve and keep climbing up the hill until you reach the top parking lot. We'll meet there by the Map signboard.

Map to get there. it's tricky so print this out.
