We'll meet at the JCPenny parking lot to carpool. My car will only hold three other people, so if we have more, we'll need more drivers. The Ceran St Vrain trailhead is 4.7 miles west of Jamestown on James Canyon Drive. The trail follows along the South St. Vrain Creek for the first two miles. Then it goes steeply uphill in a loop, with Miller Rocks at the top of the loop. A short scramble to the top of the rocks reveals a spectacular 360 view. Total distance 6.2 miles, pace about 2 mph. This is one of my favorite hikes, but I haven't been up there this spring yet, so I don't know if there will still be snowpack on the trail. Bring ice traction devices for you shoes just in case. And of course bring the usual food, water etc.
