Cataract Falls and Collier Springs from Mtn. Home. 15ish miles

Hopefully the rain during the week will make Cataract Falls worth another visit.  Collier Springs is nice when it's full of water too.

Tentative route: Mtn. Home, Rock Spring, Cataract, Helen Markt, Stocking, No Name to Lake Lagunitas. Lunch. Return via Collier Springs, Miller, West Point Inn, Nora, Matt Davis

The current forecast has a 20% chance of rain, but we'll go rain or shine. If it's raining heavily, we may alter the route to stay under tree cover, and shorten the distance.

Please come prepared: wear proper footwear, an extra layer or two of clothes, rain gear, food and water. Bring $$ if you want to buy snacks or coffee at WPI.

As always, all are welcome, but please be prepared for the pace, distance and lots of climbing.

Standard fine print on my fast paced hikes: We stop for lunch, and take another break or two. We regroup at trail junctions, but take few rest stops. If you like to take frequent breaks, or if you need to stop and rest on climbs, these hikes aren't for you. On the other hand, if you like hiking lots of hilly miles at a brisk pace, while taking in some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, please join us. If you aren’t sure you can keep up, but want to try it, please email me to discuss. If you do come, out of courtesy to the rest of the group, please bring a map, and volunteer to take a short cut if you find are struggling to keep up.
