Let's do a hike in the city! The Peaks of San Francisco

Ever want to see some of the highest points in the city all in one day?

We will hike to Mt Davidson, Twin Peaks, Mt Sutro, Tank Hill, Mt Olympus, Corona Heights, Buena Vista park, Lone Mountain, Grand View park, Golden Gate Heights park, and Edge Hill.

Some other points of interest will be Alamo Square, the observation tower at the De Young in Golden Gate park. Also there will be some very interesting staircases along the way.

Lunch will be in the Haight. A suggestion is Cha Cha Cha a Carribbean tapas restaurant but will take a vote when we get there. If you wish, you may choose to pack a lunch.

Bring snacks, water, lunch or money for lunch.

We'll finish at the West Portal Station.  If the 18 miles is not long enough of a walk for you, after the hike, Lincoln intends to walk to a BART station (depending on his legs). You can join that as well. Tack on another 3 to 5 miles.

Lots of fun! Definitely got to see lots of places I didn't even know existed in SF. Not that I could get back to them a second time ;). Thanks for a great hike!

Glad our group had good weather for our city hike. The hike today was 17.8 miles with 2300+ feet of climbing.

Anand and I picked up another hill, Kite Hill Open Space and another 6 easy miles to the Embarcadero.
