Join us for our third annual July 4th holiday hike in the quiet of Big Basin State Park. The route will be the same as last year but with the loop in the reverse order (details below). There will be at least 3 long, tough climbs (5000 ft total elevation gain) and we will cover 20 miles at a brisk pace. The payoff is some splendid views and a lot more solitude than at the mall. Note that the only water available is near the very beginning of the hike so be sure to carry plenty for the day. Add yourself to the wait list if you're interested and I'll be in touch. Optional happy hour on the beach after the hike, or on the other side of HWY 1 if it's too cold on the beach.
