Boston2BigSur Marathon Challenge

From: Bonnie
Sent on: Wednesday, April 7, 2010 8:43 PM
I haven't been hiking much because I have been training for the Boston marathon as a runner on the 2010 Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge (DFMC) Team to raise money for cancer research. I am also running Boston2BigSur which is 2 marathons, 2 coasts and 6 days apart. Boston is on April 19th and Big Sur is on April 25th.  Only a few runners in California, including me and Valerie Bertinelli, were accepted to be on the DFMC team of only 500 runners worldwide to run the Boston marathon for charity. I am the only crazy runner in the world to sign up for Boston2BigSur as a runner on the DFMC team to raise money for cancer research.
I need your support and help! The Boston marathon is only 12 days away! I ran 57 miles last week and I am tired, sore, hungry and grumpy. Please support a fellow hiker/runner/long distance junkie by donating $10 or more at or and search for my runner page. 100% of each donation directly funds cancer research at Dana-Farber (a world leading cancer research institute) and 100% is tax deductible. Dana-Farber is dedicated to finding alternative treatments and a cure for cancer. I hope to inspire you to join me as much as I was inspired to run not just 1 marathon but 2 marathons to support cancer research. I don't receive a penny for this altruistic challenge except sore feet and a cold beer at the finish!
See you on the hikes soon!
